পাবনার মাটি- ৮ (Pabna Story-8) : বাংলাদেশে স্বাধীনতা পরবর্তী প্রেক্ষাপটে জন্ম নিয়েছিল জাতীয় সমাজতান্ত্রিক দল- জাসদ নামে নতুন একটি রাজনৈতিক দল। একাত্তরের মুক্তিযুদ্ধে অংশ নেওয়া সবচেয়ে সুশিক্ষিত এবং দেশপ্রেমিক হিসেবে নিবেদিতপ্রাণ বলে যাঁরা স্বীকৃত ছিলেন, সেইসব মুক্তিযোদ্ধাদের নিয়ে গঠিত হয়েছিল এই দল। মুক্তিযুদ্ধে অংশ নেওয়া প্রায় ৮০ ভাগ মুক্তিযোদ্ধাই ছিলেন এই নতুন দলে। এ দল ছিল ক্ষমতাসিন আওয়ামী লীগের বিপরীতে সবচেয়ে শক্তিশালী বিরোধী দল। নানা চড়াই-উৎরাইয়ের ভেতর দিয়ে এ দল রাজনৈতিক কর্মযজ্ঞে সক্রিয় ছিল। নতুন এই দলে যুক্ত থাকার বিষয় নিয়ে উপস্থাপক এ প্রামাণ্য চলচ্চিত্রের মাধ্যমে তুলে ধরেছেন তাঁর নিজস্ব কিছু বিবরণ। এ বিবরণ থেকে নতুন প্রজন্ম হারানো অতীতের চড়াই-উৎরাই সম্পর্কে একটি সাধারণ ধারণা পাবেন। 

Pabna Story-8 (পাবনার মাটি- ৮) : A new political party called Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal-JSD was born in Bangladesh in the post-independence context. This group was made up of those freedom fighters who were recognized as the most well-educated and dedicated patriots who took part in the 1971 Liberation War. About 80 percent of the freedom fighters who participated in the liberation war were in this new group. This party was the strongest opposition party against the ruling Awami League. Through many ups and downs, this party was active in political activities. The presenter has presented some of his own details about joining this new group through this documentary film. From this account the new generation will get a general idea of the ups and downs of the lost past.
